i’m probably a lot like you (probably not). but regardless of our differences, which in another life time, would make us bitter enemies, we have one important thing in common: we like to blog. or at least you’re interested in the idea since you’re here… and if you’re not, well. that just makes things awkward between us.

i’ll humour you, i guess.

i’m canadian. my american friends never cease to remind me of this fact, so i think it is my most important quality. it explains my funny spelling and superior sense of humour.

i was captain of my high school football and rugby team. i played linebacker and flanker, respectively.

i’m twenty-something. i’m a virgo. my mother is constantly pressuring me to get married and produce her grandchildren.

i manage a bar, though i’ve been telling myself that i need to find a real job (father’s words) for the last… oh, 8 years.

i have degrees in political science and economics from the university of ottawa.

a very long time ago, i spent an entire year teaching english in a remote area of china. at the time, it was just another excuse to take a year off school. little did i know, it would change my life.

i’ve always wanted to do something like this but time and resources were never on my side. also, lack of programming, as well as web graphic design held me back too. oh, and i am also quite lazy.

i have kept a livejournal for almost 10 years now and was one of its earliest members. you can visit it here: http://dys.livejournal.com. i made a lot of good friends on that thing over the years. real life got in the way for the last 3–4 years so the material has suffered quite a bit, but if you read back far enough, you’ll probably discover that i’m mostly an idiot.

i’m doing this because i think there are people out there who want a place like this.

hopefully, they can find their way here and call it home.
